And just like that, MIF 2017 is finished! It’s been a wonderful few weeks with some of the best artists showcasing their work.
Personal highlights for me include Karl Hyde’s (Underworld) Manchester Street Poem, which beautifully displayed the heartbreaking stories of several homeless people, and Party Skills for the End of the World, which equipped you with all the necessary knowledge and skills to both survive and then enjoy the end of the world.
I was also lucky enough to meet and record interviews with many interesting individuals including Tony Walsh and Mary-Anne Hobbs. The only shame is that we have to wait 2 more years until the next festival!
Coming up in the next few weeks I’ll be shooting Once Bitten, the new horror short from Duck 66 Films, tracking the last of Dan Dickson’s EP and bringing you the next Band & Bean: Plenty to be done!
